Hi all - I could use some help on this. I'll give you all the information that I have. My husband works a job where he receives tips, and at Christmas he is often given other gifts - gift cards, bottles of booze, chocolate, stuff like that. For the past few years, one of his customers has given him this jar of...yellow stuff? Geographically - we're in the Boston, USA area. His customer is an older asian woman. The jar has not been "canned" (processed with a canner). My husband thinks it's a glass of tea, but that really doesn't make sense to me. He says the woman acts as if we should know what it is. If anyone has any idea (short of me opening it and drinking it without knowing what it is), I'd love to hear it!
Edit: Wow - this got so much more traction than I expected. And so many of you are sure that it's urine.
It doesn't smell like alcohol, so pretty sure it's not moonshine. It's definitely not honey. I'm guessing the Ginseng Tincture is most likely, I'll be sending a thank you note and asking for the recipe. Not sure when he'll see this customer again, so it may be a while until I have an answer for you all.

Our next door neighbor just put up this flag facing our home It says “Deus Vult” with a red crusader-style cross.
For anyone unfamiliar, “Deus Vult” is a medieval crusader slogan that in modern times has been widely adopted by far-right and anti-Muslim groups. I’m Muslim, and seeing this displayed so prominently feels hostile and intimidating, especially given how this phrase is commonly used today.
I understand free speech laws, but I’m trying to figure out where the line is between protected expression and something that reasonably makes neighbors feel targeted or unsafe.
What makes this especially upsetting is that our household has never caused any issues. We’ve lived here for over a decade without a single complaint or disturbance. We’re a quiet, working household. Our household includes a final year medical student, and another member works in social services as well as a high school student. We contribute to the community, keep to ourselves, and have always been respectful neighbors.

I feel like I hear this all the time... Is this an exaggeration? The whole "she took my house and kids and now I live in a caravan" type thing.
Surely in this day and age when women have their own money, they'd have a house/houses of their own. Do women lose their house in a divorce too? Not sure why I keep hearing about this happening to men and not women.

Just before Thanksgiving I hit my goal weight of 135lbs, down from 165lbs. I worked so hard, measured food, counted calories, learned serving sizes, created healthier habits, etc. Now that I’ve reached my goal weight, I’m back up to 2,000ish calories a day (sometimes I go over, sometimes under, I’m barely counting and going off of what I learned over the past 8 months). This weekend I was at a family party and my friend was there with her family. Her mother said she could tell that I lost weight and that I looked great, to which my friend replies, “yeah, but in my opinion you lost a little too much weight.” She later texted me and saying that her dad said, “I’m concerned for her. She needs to eat a hamburger.”
I have also had 3 other people imply that I have an eating disorder because of my weight loss.
I miss the days when people kept their opinions to themselves unless specifically asked.

Game is running at 1280x960 (DLAA), locked at 85 fps without drops. Monitor is a Samsung Syncmaster 1200NF. Powered by an RTX4090 and 5800x3D. Video colors are unedited, only using ingame Reshade to add some slight VHS noise and chroma smear for that extra CRT oomph.
