A lot of furniture stores used to offer White-Glove services, I guess this is the best you can get in this economy!

My last 3D printer enclosure came with white gloves, but in that case it was because the rubber walls were impregnated with fiberglass. I use them when I swap or clean the buildplate so I don't get oily fingerprints all over it which can cause issues.
Those are probably included so you don't get fingerprints all over it, considering how expensive the lamp is.

Not necessarily fancy, halogen bulbs for spotlights require gloves too. It depends on the bulb type of the fixture, and this is likely a very high powered light that is not LED. Likely a light for the garage/shop area, as that high of wattage/heat output from said lamp is going to be a lot in living areas of the house

That is a $3.6k lamp, bud.

Holy SHIT. I mean the gloves probably cost less than a dollar to include. Even for $3.6k, that’s still a thoughtful gesture from the seller.

Didn't see the link as it was posted at same time as comment. And funny enough it is an LED light, so it's not to prevent oil on a high wattage bulb, but rather fingerprints hah

Where? I still don’t see the link to the lamp. Inquiring minds want to know!

Money can’t buy taste, but it can buy something for rich people to brag about to other rich people.

Im one of those people that keeps stuff like this ‘just in case’. These exact gloves have been lying around for almost 10 years and i tossed them yesterday. Funny to see them here the next morning.

I've gotten those same cheap ass gloves with alot of things. I recognize them because they always place the thumb way to high. Almost like two pinky fingers.

Had this with a wooden flatpack from Dunelm. Didn't use, but have kept in toolbox.
I think they're meant to help with gription when tightening bolts.

Bought a self assembly sheet-metal mini-shed thing for the garden from Amazon a few weeks ago and it came with two pairs of kinda elasticy-cottony gloves in a nice speckled grey colour for putting it together - I guess they got fed up with folks cutting their hands on the sheet metal and complaining so easier to just put the gloves in. Anyway, they're not very thick but are surprisingly warm, look good and fit me perfectly - they're now my favourite gloves of all the many pairs I own 😂
Also have a fancy Balsalm Hill artificial Christmas tree, which comes with two pairs of gloves labled "fluffing gloves", which makes me giggle every year when I unpack it.

How odd. I just had a led light (quite big acrylic cut out) with white gloves also provided. I'm guessing direct from China?

Dude, you rich folks spend a crazy amount of money on the ugliest stuff...

They're for handling the sheet metal. Sheet metal is sharp shit. You'll appreciate the gloves if you ever get cut by it.

I recently put together an office chair for a family member, and it had a tiny pair of white gloves, too. I assumed it was so grease wouldn't get on your hands during assembly, but as far as I saw there wasn't any exposed 🤷♂️

I ordered wheel bearings for my car earlier this year that were wrapped in white cotton gloves. I was confused when I opened them and still can’t think of why they chose to use them for that purpose.

Is it a high wattage bulb? I've heard of spotlights that generate so much heat, that if oils from skin contact the bulb, it could cause it to explode when powered on. The minor amount of cooling the vaporized oil provides is enough of a temperature differential to cause the glass to stress fracture, and do that.
